Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Medical Assistant in the Winston-Salem area to support pediatrics in a general clinic setting. You will perform patient preparation, vital signs, and basic lab work, while assisting physicians with procedures and medication administration.

The role requires MA certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent) and BLS. Strong communication, customer service, and computer/EMR skills are essential for daily patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent).
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, collect vital signs and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures following aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and administer routine medications under orders.
• Refers questions to nurses/physician as needed and maintain clear patient communication.
• Perform additional clinical support tasks per competency and supervision.
