Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in Winston-Salem, NC. You will prepare patients for exams, collect vitals and health information, and perform routine lab tests under supervision.

You will assist physicians with procedures, administer medications per protocols, and help coordinate referrals while maintaining clear communication with patients and the health care team.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification options include CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA, NRMA, NHCWA, NRCMA.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, record vitals and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as scoped.
• Administer routine medications per orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate follow-up, referrals, and patient communication.
• Maintain patient flow and accurate documentation.
