Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a physician's office setting under the supervision of a licensed physician. The role includes clerical, insurance and medical record duties and may require floating to other UFHP practices to meet staffing needs.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited MA program with current MA certification. EMTs may substitute certification; one year of direct patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited MA program and certified or registered MA.
• EMT license can substitute MA certification.
• Experience in ambulatory care is preferred.
• Must show initiative, multitasking ability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• May perform clerical, insurance and medical record functions.
• May float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing.
