Job summary

UF Health Ocala is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a physician's office in delivering patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. This role includes performing clerical, insurance, and medical record tasks as needed, and may require floating to other UF Health practices to cover staffing needs.

Must be a graduate of an accredited MA program with certification or licensure as a Medical Assistant; EMT certification can substitute.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certified or registered as MA.
• EMT license can substitute MA certification.
• Experience in ambulatory care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician's office under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions as needed.
• May float to other UFHP practices to support staffing.
