Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1 year pediatric/ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from waiting areas to exam rooms and verify date of birth and attire.
• Walk patients to radiology or POPs areas and assist with rooming for clinic.
• Obtain vitals (height, weight, temperature, pulse, BP) and collect basic medical history.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes during visits.
• Ensure infection prevention protocols are followed throughout shifts.
• Perform Telehealth intake tasks, documenting vitals and encounter details.
• Escort patients to checkout and update rooming status in Epic.
• Monitor Epic DAR and coordinate with front desk, radiology, POPs for timely patient handoffs.
• Direct physicians and APPs to patient rooms based on DAR status.
• Prepare exam rooms daily and stock supplies and equipment.
