Job summary

Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for the Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic in Tacoma. You will support clinicians, organize patient flow, interview patients, and obtain vitals to help ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities include specimen collection (venipuncture), medication administration per WA DoH regulations, and maintaining patient records and referrals. WA MA-C credential and BLS required; one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Washington MA-C credential required or eligible, WA state regulation compliance.
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to work under supervision of physicians and APPs.
• Comfortable handling patient records and referrals.
• Familiarity with clinical safety and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in coordination with front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain accurate information.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with exams or treatments.
• Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administer medications per WA DoH regulations and competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Process patient records, referrals, and forms as needed.
