The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network, part of MultiCare in Tacoma, WA, supports physicians and APPs in a pediatric office setting, delivering safe, compassionate care for children and families.

Under supervision, MA-Cs perform clinical skills, interview patients, obtain vital signs, assist with exams, collect specimens, administer medications, and communicate instructions to families while complying with state health regulations.

Formación

• MA-C certification (Washington State) required.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
• Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers
• Sending and receiving of patient medical records
• Facilitating patient referrals
• Preparing forms for patients
