Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Budge Clinic Pediatrics in Logan, Utah, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 40-hour week (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 8-5; Tue off). The MA will assist clinicians, gather patient information, and communicate across channels to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care under clinician guidance, gathering information relevant to visit and condition.
• Effective communication with patients via telephone and in person across modalities.
• Team collaboration with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care.
