Job summary

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory clinic teams in Salt Lake City. The role involves patient care under clinician supervision and effective communication with patients across multiple modalities.

The position requires MA program completion or equivalent experience, BLS, and strong teamwork and computer skills. This on-site role at the LDS Hospital BMT Clinic offers growth opportunities and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers; must be obtained prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• Utah Only: MA residency program if certified with less than one year MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the Clinician, assisting the provider to gather information relevant to the patient visit.
• Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
