Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a medical assistant to prepare patients for exams, document health information, and support physicians in procedures within a busy pediatric clinic. You will perform lab work, administer routine medications, and help coordinate referrals while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires GED or HS equivalency, completion of a Medical Assistant program, BLS certification, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex clinical skills within Medical Assistant scope.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and EMR use.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist physicians with procedures (pelvic exams, testing, etc.).
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure smooth clinic flow with the care team.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and effective patient communication.
