Cincinnati Children’s is hiring a Medical Assistant for the South Avondale SBHC site. The role supports patient examinations, procedures, and family-centered care, working under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Medical Assisting program or equivalent training, with related experience acceptable. The role is full-time, on-site with rotating shifts, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program OR completion of a formal medical services training program of the US armed forces OR 1 year of work experience in a related job discipline.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care- Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on CCHMC policy, best practice guidelines and department needs.
• Assist care providers with procedures and physical exams of patients and prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Provide care consistent with family-centered care and medical home models; be flexible and culturally competent; partner with families in decision making.
• Customer Service- Act as a customer advocate and respond to parent requests and concerns; provide education/information to patients and families.
• Collaboration- Work with others, follow direction to resolve problems, develop positive working relationships, and support team members.
• Data Management- Maintain patient files and records, obtain consent forms, ensure accurate data entry and documentation.
• Laboratory Work- May manage specimens and communicate lab results as delegated.
• The Medical Assistant performs delegated clinical and administrative duties under supervision.
