Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a pediatric urgent care setting. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, wound care, labs, and routine procedures under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED and prior Medical Assistant experience or education. Pediatric experience and comfort with tech tools are preferred. On-site role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and pediatric labs.
• Ability to obtain nasal swab and venipuncture samples.
• Professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to learn medical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat/urine cultures).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in lab quality control testing.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and waiting area.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow policies.
• Assist nurses and providers with procedures as needed.
