Texas Children's Pediatrics Dripping Springs seeks a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced clinic. You will gather patient information, assist with exams, administer medications and immunizations, and document care in the electronic health record.

The role emphasizes accurate data collection, coordination of referrals, lab specimen handling, and patient education to support families in managing health. A nursing/MA program graduate with BLS is preferred.

Qualificações

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of MA, EMT, or LVN program.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Gather information and provide direct patient care.
• Collect patient data including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information.
• Document vital signs, BMI, height/weight, and visit reason.
• Document medications and allergies in the EHR with accuracy.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and testing; prepare patient for exam.
• Coordinate care by following up on lab results and referrals.
• Administer medications and immunizations; document in the record.
• Maintain infection control and inventory of medications.
• Provide patient education and support self-management.
• Handle lab specimens and ensure timely results; participate in QC.
• Respiratory fit testing as required by safety standards.
