Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for its Pediatrics department in Southlake, TX. The role supports physicians, maintains records, administers injections, and records vital signs throughout a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include room preparation, patient guidance, sample collection, injections, and wound care as indicated. A CMA certification is required or obtained within 30 days, with a BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED. CMA certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pediatrics experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient examinations and treatment under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms; stock supplies.
• Guide patients from waiting room and prepare for examinations.
• Interview patients and update medical records; ensure paperwork is ready.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for exams, tests, and x-rays.
• Perform ECGs and collect blood/urine samples for processing.
• Administer routine medications and vaccinations; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings and remove sutures as needed.
