Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant for our pediatric specialty clinic. This 0.8 FTE role (32 hours per week) runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

You will greet patients, update charts, take vitals, and assist with procedures, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, growth-focused environment. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent (NCLEX-PN eligibility acceptable) with certification within 15 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program, Vocational Nurse program, or eligible for NCLEX-PN.
• BLS for healthcare workers required.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and set a welcoming tone for appointments.
• Update patient information in charting systems and take vitals.
• Assist with procedures and virtual visits with nurses and providers.
• Collaborate with a team of providers and managers to support patient care.
