Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is hiring a Medical Assistant in our pediatric specialty clinic. You will greet patients, update chart information, take vitals, and gain hands-on experience assisting with procedures alongside nurses and providers.

This role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or PN/NV program or eligibility for NCLEX-PN, BLS for healthcare workers, and MA certification within 15 months of hire. Starting pay $21.34/hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN.
• BLS for healthcare workers is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and set the tone for appointments.
• Update patient information in charting systems.
• Take vitals and document accurately.
• Assist with procedures alongside nurses and providers.
