Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will interact with patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of an accredited MA program with externship/internship; EMT/Paramedic or athletic trainer programs acceptable.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
