Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital Claremore in Claremore, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Pediatric Medical Assistant (MA) to join our care team. You will support pediatric patients and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver compassionate care in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, patient greetings, taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating referrals and insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• EMR and MS Office knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an EMR.
• Patient visit support that may include greeting patients, escorting to exam room, and taking vital signs.
• Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments; ensures exam rooms are disinfected and ready for patients.
• Maintains inventory and stocks supplies, instruments and equipment for exam rooms.
• Addresses referrals and insurance authorizations and coordinates with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
