Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, administer medications as directed, and coordinate care to support improved health outcomes

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of MA program, externship or internship.
• EMT or Paramedic training is acceptable; current CPR preferred.
• MA certification eligibility or credentialed MA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments and exams.
• Document histories, vital signs, and health information accurately.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate results and instructions to patients; provide education.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support disease management.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
