Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care at Point Pleasant, PA, part of Elderwood Administrative Services, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for night, day, and weekend shifts in a pediatric long‑term care setting.

Join a team dedicated to medically complex pediatric care, with strong teamwork and ongoing clinical training including three weeks of orientation. Night shifts come with a $5.00 per hour differential and weekend options.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license in good standing or an active multistate LPN license with authorization to practice in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
• At least 21 years of age
• Pediatric training or nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on each resident’s individualized care plan and evolving clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with provider orders
• Monitor residents closely, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate clinical team members
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, RNs, and other disciplines to coordinate care and support treatment decisions
• Contribute to admission evaluations, ongoing assessments, care planning, and resident and family education
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation, including nursing notes, medication and treatment records, and care-plan updates
• Provide clear, thorough change-of-shift reports to support continuity and safety across the nursing team
• Practice within the LPN scope, seeking RN guidance or immediate clinical support when escalation is needed
• Participate in orientation, continuing education, quality-improvement initiatives, and ongoing development of Nurse Technicians
