Job summary
Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled pediatric nursing for a medically complex child in Freehold, NJ. This 1:1 home care role focuses on delivering individualized care in the family’s home setting.
The ideal candidate holds an NJ LPN license and BLS certification, with experience in G-tube care and pediatric home care being a plus. Flexible scheduling and meaningful family-centered care are highlights of the position.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey LPN License
- Experience with G-tube care preferred
- Pediatric home care experience a plus
- Current BLS Certification
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
- Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 pediatric nursing care in the home setting
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor and manage G-tube feedings and care
- Assess respiratory status and provide PRN oxygen support
- Assist with airway clearance therapies including compression vest treatments
- Monitor for seizure activity and implement seizure precautions
- Assess for changes in condition and communicate findings appropriately
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with family members, physicians, and the pediatric clinical team
- Support the patient's safety, comfort, and overall quality of life
