Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Breastfeeding Medicine Clinic at Fairview Hospital seeks an experienced IBCLC to provide direct lactation care, assess mother–baby dyads, and develop feeding plans across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will collaborate with obstetrics, NICU, and postpartum teams, support education programs, and participate in outreach. The role includes variable evening shifts and opportunities to work at the Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• Meet educational/licensing requirements for IBLCE with current credentials.
• Ability to provide inter-disciplinary collaboration and form care plans.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• NRP certification within six months of hire.
• CLC certification or equivalent at hire, with IBCLC certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and infants.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of mother/baby dyad lactation goals.
• Develop evidence-based feeding plans addressing feeding issues.
• Design and implement patient education, staff development, and multidisciplinary consultation.
