Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis seeks a Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy for infant to adult patients requiring ketogenic diet in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role focuses on developing and managing individualized ketogenic feeding plans, including formula selection, macronutrient ratios, feeding schedules, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree is required or Bachelor's Degree prior to 2024.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Licensure through the state of Indiana must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• CDR approval and Indiana state RD license may be required prior to start date.
• Ability to develop nutritional care plans and provide nutritional education.
• Competency in nutrition-focused physical exams and malnutrition documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for ketogenic diet in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop and manage individualized ketogenic diet oral and enteral feeding plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on ketogenic diet therapy and enteral feeding techniques.
• Monitor growth, labs, and metabolic parameters.
• Collaborate with Neurology, nursing, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals across settings.
