IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking a registered dietitian to deliver medical nutrition therapy for ketogenic diet management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will craft individualized feeding plans, monitor growth and labs, and educate patients and families on enteral feeding and safety.
This role requires on-call capabilities and remote weekend coverage, with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and Indiana RD licensure.

Potential responsibilities in this job could include providing medical nutrition therapy for infant, pediatric, and adult patients requiring the ketogenic diet for epilepsy and other metabolic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role focuses on development and ongoing management of individualized ketogenic diet oral and enteral feeding plans, including formula selection, macronutrient ratios, feeding schedules, and monitoring of growth, tolerance, labs, and metabolic parameters. The dietitian provides patient and caregiver education of ketogenic diet therapy and enteral feeding techniques, safety, and long-term management. Frequent patient follow-up and communication is an important component of quality care while managing the ketogenic diet, as well as accurate and detailed documentation. The dietitian collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including Neurology, nursing, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position requires on-call capabilities and remote weekend coverage.
