Job summary

Children's Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Pediatric Interventional Radiology team. This role supports pediatric patients undergoing image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The APP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, technologists, and ancillary staff, conducting assessments, coordinating care, and providing education to patients and families in a fast-paced, procedural

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of Interventional Radiology experience is highly preferred.
• Graduate of a master's degree or higher ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree or higher in nursing with an Advanced Practice Education Program.
• Certification by the NCCPA is required and licensed by the Texas PA Board.
• Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing with prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS and PALS certification per UT Southwestern policy.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations.
• Synthesizes data to develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care.
• Demonstrates proficiency in technical and procedural skills.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Coordinates care across a multidisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.
• Facilitates quality-related initiatives and evidence-based practice activities.
• Collaborates in clinical research and quality improvement efforts.
