Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina operates pediatric cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs with two state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated recovery unit. The Pediatric Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist II works under supervision to perform complex procedures in neonates to adults with congenital conditions, including catheterization and electrophysiology studies.

Graduate of an accredited Radiological Sciences program with RT or CVT credentials, plus SC

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Sciences program or CVT program.
• AR RT, CVIS, CRT, RCIS or CVT certification is expected.
• Current BLS (or within 30 days), PALS and ACLS (within 6 months)
• SC Radiation Quality Standards licensure required; ability to rotate.
• Cath lab or cardiovascular specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist complex cardiovascular interventional procedures in pediatric cath lab.
• Support heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and ablations.
• Maintain high technical competency and operate under limited supervision.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or CVT program

Licensure from South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
