Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to join the pediatric inpatient and critical care team at Summerville Medical Center, just 30 minutes from Charleston, SC.

The role includes a 6-bed PICU, Level III NICU support, and in-house days with home call at night. Teaching opportunities exist with a family medicine residency program, plus comprehensive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board-certified in pediatric critical care.
• Minimum 1–2 years of post-graduate experience in pediatric critical care.
• Fellowship-trained pediatric intensivist welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient pediatric floor care and ER consults as part of a pediatric ICU team.
• 6-bed PICU with Level III NICU support and quaternary consult access by phone.
• In-house days with night call at home, teaching residents.
• Procedures include intubations, LPs, lines, chest tube placement, and CPR.

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivistto join our pediatric inpatient and critical care team atSummerville Medical Center (SMC)—just 30 minutes from Charleston!

Your Clinical Scope

• 6-bed PICU
• Level III NICU support
• Telephone consult available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
• Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
• In-house days, home call at night
• Teaching opportunities teaching: a family medicine residency program is now in its third year with residents participating about half of the year, 4.5 days per week
• Procedures include: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
• 2024 Census: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1
