Pediatric Intensivist Opportunity in the cultural, recreational, and business capital of the Appalachian Mountains

Responsibilities

We are seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join our well-established practice at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia.

About the Hospital

CAMC is one of the largest health systems in West Virginia and CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital is the first free-standing children’s hospital in the state. It hosts the region’s largest and busiest Level III NICU and Level I PICU, and has received ARK (Always Ready for Kids) recognition by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Services.

About the Practice

• 9-bed PICU with an average of 265 annual admits
• Teaching site for medical students and residents
• Block scheduling, averaging 7 days on, with ample time off
• Out-of-house call with pediatric residents in-house 24/7
• Team of 2 full-time and 1 part-time physicians with equal coverage including holidays
• Daily multidisciplinary rounds with Residents, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Nutrition Services, Physical Therapy, and Child Life
• Consultative services by pediatric sub-specialists across 30+ specialties, including pulmonary, surgery, neurology, nephrology, infectious disease, hematology-oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and cardiology
• J1 Visa sponsorship available
