Boys Town in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 14-bed Pediatric Medical/Surgical Inpatient Unit. The RN leads care coordination, supports nursing staff, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Schedule: 7 PM–7 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week with rotating holidays and weekends.

Hiring bonus: $10,000. Candidates must hold an RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS and PALS within six months; EMR experience; strong

Qualifications

• Must be a RN with current state license.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certified within six months of transfer or hire.
• PALS certified within six months of transfer or hire.
• Prior working knowledge of using computer programs and electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Lead nursing care using the nursing process for admissions, assessments, and care planning.
• Plan and revise patient care based on age and development.
• Document thoroughly per hospital policy and report to health care team.
• Assess patient/family education needs and discharge planning throughout stay.
• Participate in discharge planning and care conferences.
• Support readiness for Joint Commission inspections and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Communicate with the Inpatient Medical Unit team and committees.
• Provide patient care and education tailored to pediatric patients.
