Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Same Day Pediatrics Clinic. Schedule includes Weekdays 5:30 PM–10:30 PM and Weekends 12:00 PM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–10:00 PM, totaling 4 hours per week. A $5,000 signing bonus is offered.

The nurse will provide age-appropriate assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, triage calls, and support efficient clinic operations in collaboration with the medical team.

Qualifications

• RN with current state license from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric ambulatory or hospital care experience.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized nursing care to pediatric patients in the clinic setting.
• Performs age-appropriate initial and ongoing assessments and prioritizes care.
• Implements care plans and educates patients and families before discharge.
• Triages telephone inquiries using standard protocols and directs care as needed.
• Supports patient flow and documents assessments and results.
• Collects specimens and performs select lab tests per policy.
