Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the new Inpatient Pediatric General Medical/Surgical unit at American Family Children's Hospital.

The 60% FTE position includes 8/12 hour day/evening shifts with weekend and holiday rotation. Nurses will care for infants to adolescents across a range of surgical and medical cases; pay differentials apply for evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• Six months nursing experience in inpatient units or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
• Current RN license in WI or a compact license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for children from infancy through adolescence on the new 9-bed unit.
• Care for patients with a range of surgical and medical conditions including General Surgery, Trauma, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, and OBS.
