The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks candidates for Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics-Infectious Disease in the Department of Pediatrics. Provide clinical care to patients at the Children's Hospital of Illinois and affiliated clinics, and participate in teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric infectious diseases fellowship, or expected completion by start date.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Pediatrics.
• Board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases with ABP window.
• Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical license and Illinois controlled substance license.
• Eligible for DEA registration.
• Eligible for medical staff privileges at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and payer credentialing.
• ECFMG for international medical graduates.
• BL S and PALS certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services (inpatient and outpatient).
• Teach medical students, residents, and other health professionals.
• Conduct clinical and translational research in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
• Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.
• Provide phone consultations for hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois.
• Provide guidance for community outbreaks (e.g., measles and tuberculosis).
• Fulfill faculty responsibilities including teaching, research, and scholarly activities.
