Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric infectious diseases fellowship or expected completion by start date.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Pediatrics.
• Board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, with certification within ABP window.
• Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical license and Illinois controlled substances license by start date.
• Eligible for DEA registration.
• ECFMG certification for international graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services (inpatient and outpatient).
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals.
• Conduct clinical and/or translational research in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
• Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.
• Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois.
• Guide community outbreaks (e.g., measles, tuberculosis).
• Faculty position with clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activities.
• Perform other related duties and special projects.
