Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Pediatric Infectious Disease. The role covers in-hospital daily assessments, outpatient follow-up, telehealth for newborns, OPAT, and coordinated care with a dynamic ID team.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a NC DEA license and licensure as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date >90 days from start date
• PALS and ATLS preferred; strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate daily hospitalized pediatric patients, especially in PICU/NICU, for timely, high-quality Infectious Disease care
• Support outpatient follow-up for inpatients, telehealth consultations for newborns, OPAT, and other referrals to reduce delays in care
