Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to work with the Infectious Disease inpatient consultation team. You will provide comprehensive assessment, clinical management, education, and coordination of care for children and their families.

This role starts at 0.5 FTE with potential to increase to meet inpatient needs, and both pediatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants are encouraged to apply in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required.
• 2 years of pediatric healthcare preferred
• Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Science Education
• Master’s degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in medical science

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive histories and physical exams and identifying normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial status
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Developing pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans
• Serving as an educational resource for patients, families, health care professionals, and students
• Facilitating patient referrals to other medical providers, medical facilities, and other health/social service agencies as needed
• Collaborating and/or consulting with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate
