Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU role at a Level II trauma pediatric hospital, requiring servo vent, intubation and sedation experience.

You will work in a 32-bed PICU with 1:2 patient ratios across day, night and weekend shifts; day shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every other weekend. Travel perks include generous housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, weekly payroll deposits, and access to free CEUs.

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska RN or RN Compact license.
• BLS certification (AHA) current.
• PALS certification current.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ADN/BSN) from accredited school.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Pediatric patient care experience.
• Level II trauma experience.
• Large pediatric hospital experience.
• Servo vent, intubation, and sedation experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• CPN or CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32-bed PICU within a large pediatric hospital setting.
• Patient ratios of 1:2 across day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Float required, with travelers prioritized to float first, typically to NICU or CCU but potentially to Med/Surg.
• Cares for typical medical/surgical ICU patients who are non-cardiac, including respiratory, trauma, and neuro cases.
