Upstate New York, Pediatric Hospitalist Opening

• Clinical Role:
  • Seeking a physician Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Permanent position opportunity.
  • Responsibilities include coverage of a 7-bed inpatient pediatric unit, emergency department consultations, shared coverage of the newborn nursery with neonatology services, and education of medical students and family medicine residents.
  • No delivery attendance or NICU coverage.
  • The pediatric service is supported by pediatric-trained speech, occupational, and physical therapists, pediatric-certified echocardiographers, and lactation consultants.
  • Neonatology consultations are available in-house; other pediatric sub-specialties are accessible from a tertiary center in a nearby city.
  • The hospital is experiencing continued growth of residency programs.
  • Schedule:
    • 24-hour shifts.
