Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a per diem pediatric hospitalist to cover newborn nursery and well baby services in Ohio. Responsibilities include 24-hour shifts with day rounding and on-call duties, attending deliveries, and contributing to a new practice starting in Summer 2026.

Board-certified pediatrics with Ohio license or IMLC eligibility is required. The role is per diem with travel considerations; compensation includes W-2 status, travel reimbursement, and standard benefits described

Qualifications

• Board certification in pediatrics.
• Minimum 1 year post-certification hospital experience.
• Ohio license or IMLC compact eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coverage for Newborn Nursery and Well Baby Coverage.
• 24 hours shift: day rounding + on call.
• Attend deliveries and provide newborn care.
• Position supports new practice acquisition starting summer 2026.
• Must be able to perform circumcisions.

Benefits and Compensation

Pediatrix does cover per diem staff travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice. This position is W-2.
