Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking board-certified Pediatricians to join our team at OhioHealth Obleness Hospital in Athens, OH on a per diem basis to provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery. 24 hour shifts of rounding plus offsite call and neonatal support are included.

Our physicians consult in the emergency department, collaborate with neonatologists, and participate in CQI initiatives. We cover travel and malpractice for per diem members and offer access to a broad network of Pediatrix

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Pediatrics is required.
• Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required.
• Active OH License or IMLC license preferred.
• Recent clinical experience within the last 12 months required.

Responsibilities

• Cover newborn nursery with NICU support; per diem shifts.
• Provide pediatric consultations to the emergency department with timely assessments and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists for coordinated care.
• Participate in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects to improve patient outcomes.
• Exchange knowledge with Pediatrix providers across a large network.

Pediatrix Medical group is seeking board-certified Pediatricians to join our team at OhioHealth Obleness Hospital in Athens, OH on a per diem basis to provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery.

Newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists - No Pediatric floor coverage

24 hour shift of rounding plus offsite call

Pediatric Hospitalists will perform circs

Pediatric Consultations: Provide expert pediatric consultations to the emergency department, offering timely assessments, recommendations, and treatment plans for pediatric patients.

Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a team of pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): The ability to participate in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects, contributing to the enhancement of patient care outcomes and best practices.

Knowledge Exchange: Take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers, including over 400 NICUs and several thousand providers.

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.
