Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist for an inpatient role in Mattoon, Illinois. You will provide comprehensive in-hospital pediatric care, manage newborn rounds, and support Level II neonatology services within a stable, family-friendly community setting.

Qualifications

• US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency completion.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient medical management for pediatric admissions, nursery care, and Level II neonatology patients.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitations as required by hospital protocols.
• Provide pediatric consultations for the Emergency Department and surgical service lines.
• Stabilize acute or critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients and coordinate transfers to tertiary centers.
• Perform daily inpatient rounds, manage admissions/discharges, and ensure clear handoffs to outpatient pediatrics.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
