Job summary

Lightways Hospice is seeking a compassionate Massage Therapist to provide pediatric massage therapy to our patients in the northwest Illinois region, including travel to patient locations. This role estimates about 20 hours per week, with availability on Tuesday mornings and weekday afternoons or early evenings.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, design care plans, document visits, and maintain a caseload while adhering to IDFPR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pediatric care experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.
• Active IL LMT license required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate pediatric patients for massage therapy services and identify precautions prior to each visit.
• Design personalized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Explain procedures clearly and adapt techniques to patient needs and responses.
• Document all visits and interactions according to guidelines.
• Maintain a caseload and schedule visits, adjusting frequency as needed.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate to determine patient eligibility for massage therapy.
• Uphold ethical, culturally sensitive practice and safe massage techniques.
