Job summary

St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children seeks a licensed occupational therapist to provide comprehensive home care services for pediatric patients.

The role covers evaluation, planning, implementation, treatment and documentation of patient status, with supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and cosign of their documentation when required. You will support the organization's mission by complying with regulatory guidelines, meeting agency standards, and obtaining

Qualifications

• Formal education required: Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or successfully completed the educational requirements of occupational therapy.
• Licensed in the state as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the authorized practitioner's plan of care.
• Treats the patient through the use of therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function.
• Accepts only patients referred by the Team Supervisor, Case Placement Coordinator or designee.
• Demonstrates competency in skills required by the agency on at least an annual basis at the time of field evaluation.
• Evaluates and assesses the patient's level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures and tests and assists in the development and revision of the plan of care.
