Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking an experienced RN for the Hematology/Oncology unit to deliver compassionate, family-centered care using nursing processes. You will assess, implement, and evaluate care plans, with a focus on adherence to Magnet standards and patient rights.

Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, multidisciplinary rounds, and documentation in the EMR, while maintaining high safety and quality care. A BSN and pediatric oncology experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or multi-state Compact
• BLS CPR from American Heart Association
• PALS certification within 1 year of hire
• Chemotherapy/APHON pediatric course within 1 year of employment

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement and document the plan of care in collaboration with the team.
• Administer chemotherapy and medications following the six rights of med administration.
• Monitor immunocompromised patients with central lines, IV sites and labs.
• Participate in family-centered rounds and discharge planning.
• Ensure safe analgesic/narcotic administration per policy.
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and wound care as needed.
• Document accurately in electronic health records and communicate with families on resources.
