Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland seeks a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Infusion Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for pediatric and adolescent patients with hematologic disorders, oncology diagnoses, and infusion therapy needs in ambulatory settings.

You will collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and nurses to ensure safe, high-quality care, manage central lines, administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies, and participate in triage, education,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of pediatric nursing experience with acutely ill patients.
• Experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology including administration of chemotherapy and blood products.
• Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for pediatric hematology/oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, biologic therapies, blood products and infusion therapies per protocol.
• Monitor for adverse reactions during and after infusion therapy.
• Manage central venous access devices and venous access care.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate care across teams.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure safety and documentation in EHR.
