Job summary

Orlando Health Children's Arnold Palmer Hospital is seeking a Chemotherapy Infusion Registered Nurse to lead outpatient infusion care. The RN will prepare, administer and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy, coordinate with the care team and educate patients and families.

Strong pediatric oncology experience and Florida RN licensure are required, with CPHON/OCN certifications preferred. The role supports day shifts, 4 days a week, at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Florida RN license with active status.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) for adult oncology or CPHON for pediatrics; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient care and act as liaison between provider, family, and office team.
• Demonstrate patient assessments and provide symptom management and education.
• Set up and administer chemotherapy, fluids and medications via venous access following the five rights.
• Practice safe administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions.
• Chemotherapy dose checks and monitor lab values for administration.
• Access central catheters (PORTS/PICC) and manage caseloads for infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care.
• Educate patients regarding chemotherapy, labs, procedures and medications.
• Triage patients using pathways and coordinate referrals within RN scope.
