Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Heart Transplant Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join the Pharmacy-Heart Transplant Team. The role supports pediatric transplant patients with pharmacotherapy optimization, research, education, and collaboration across disciplines.

The position contributes to a nationally recognized program with extensive transplant experience and outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

Pharmacy degree: BS or PharmD required.
Residency experience: 2 years, or 1 year plus 3 years of work in specialty pharmacy.
Equivalency: 3 years of specialty pharmacy may substitute 2nd year of residency.
BPS certification required within 3 years of start date.
BLS certification required.
Colorado pharmacist license (DORA).
Preference for heart transplant or transplant PGY2 experience.

Responsibilities

Lead pharmaceutical outcomes research and participate in drug utilization reviews.
Educate staff, residents, and students; serve as a preceptor.
Provide drug information and support policy development.
Implement quality and safety initiatives; report adverse events.
Deliver pediatric pharmacotherapy care across multi-disciplinary rounds and care teams.
Oversee pharmacy operations, dispensing, and inventory; supervise technicians and learners.
