Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is dedicated to the health and well‑being of children and seeks a Public Safety professional to support our facilities. The role involves patrolling areas, responding to emergencies, and performing weapon screening to prevent prohibited items from entering our campuses.

You will investigate incidents, complete reports, and coordinate with dispatchers and local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related coursework preferred.
• Post high school coursework in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• 1+ years customer service experience required.
• 1+ years as a uniformed security officer in healthcare or similar preferred.
• 1+ years weapon screening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of facilities and grounds; respond to emergencies and calls for service.
• Investigates incidents; writes incident reports and interviews victims/witnesses.
• Assist Dispatchers, monitor surveillance and alarms, direct personnel as needed.
• Respond to emergencies with crowd control, verbal/physical intervention, and other duties as required.
• Provide weapons screening at designated locations and liaise with law enforcement.
• Guide and escort staff, visitors, and patients; maintain security of property and records.
