Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with common office software and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department efficiency and customer service.
• Process patient admissions and document bed assignments and labels.
• Maintain complete patient records with admission, transfer, discharge information and progress notes.
• Coordinate patient appointments and procedures prior to discharge.
• Maintain supplies and track inventory; handle requisitions as needed.
• Monitor and track use of electronic equipment (e.g., patient ID scanners, laptops).
• Interact with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
