Job summary

Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a Hand Therapist for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford to join the Rehabilitation team. The role involves advanced clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment of upper-extremity conditions in pediatric patients, in clinic and hospital settings, with collaboration among physicians, case managers, and staff.

The incumbent may supervise students, orient new staff, participate in committees, and ensure documentation and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• The candidate must hold licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Hand Therapist per state and certifying body requirements.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and billing as required, including timely progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate care with MDs, case managers, and other health professionals.
• Supervise students and orient new staff as appropriate.
• Provide advanced clinical reasoning in evaluation and treatment of pediatric hand and upper-extremity conditions.
