Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join the Gastroenterology/Hepatology outpatient team.

The ideal candidate will coordinate care for children with GI conditions, educate families, and work closely with four providers to improve home management and reduce ER visits. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and a focus on education, coordination, and collaboration across locations.

Qualifications

• Two year ADN/registered nursing diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or current enrollment in RN to BSN program preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience required (2+ years).
• Gastroenterology experience or caring for children with complex GI conditions preferred.
• Demonstrated teamwork, strong communication, and care coordination skills.
• Passion for patient and family education and delivering pediatric care.
• Flexibility to cover at other Phoenix Children’s locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments across age groups, integrating physical, psychological, social, developmental, and education factors.
• Implement and coordinate plans of care with the healthcare team to promote safe transitions and educate families.
• Evaluate patient progress and update care plans; document in medical records.
• Supervise and mentor staff, ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.
• Support education and training of students and new staff.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
